The Navion Goes South

A 10 day cure for January blues

Don Cohen Don Cohen  |  01.26.2015

Taking a January break from the cold, WinnebagoLife editor Don Cohen and his wife, Terry, fuel up their Navion for a trip to the Texas gulf.  Along the way they stroll by San Antonio’s famed Riverwalk, bike through Galveston, and put the Navion on a ferry to head off along the coast to New Orleans.

The New Orleans weather is perfect for plenty of biking, dining and jazz.  And then it’s time to head north back through Fredericksburg, Texas in the heart of the hill country.

Great trip! We love our 2015 view 24m ….any thoughts on towing with the View?

We tow a Honda Fit behind our Navion just about everywhere we go. It’s a luxury that seems to have become a standard requirement for us. It has allowed us to drive into congested downtowns for dinner out, go deeper into some national parks, and kept the Navion away from lots of dusty dirt road excursions.

We so enjoyed seeing the tour of the Navion and the new Forza/Solei 36 ft. RV, all we can say is “WOW”! We have a 2003 Brave and we still are enjoying taking trips to our home state of WI from where we live now in CA. It is a 33t. and we love it. Winnebago goes all out in producing the best RV”s, good for them.
